Pepidol for children: instructions for use

Content

"Pepidol" is one of the enterosorbents used for poisoning, dysbiosis, intestinal infections, constipation and food allergies. Especially for young patients, “Pepidol” is produced for children with a lower concentration of the active substance, which allows even preschool children to give such a drug.

Release form

“Pepidol” for children is sold in glass bottles, inside of which there are 100, 250 or 450 ml of opaque yellowish or pink liquid. There are also economy packs that can hold 2 bottles of 100 ml or 250 ml each.

Composition

The basis of the drug is pectin. In the powder, it occupies the entire volume, that is, there are no additional compounds in the composition of such "Pepidol".

The concentration of pectin in a liquid product is 3%, which distinguishes the children's drug from Pepidol for adults (it has a 5% concentration). In addition to pectin, there is only water in the solution, and there are no preservatives, flavors and dyes..

Operating principle

Pectin in the composition of the drug is a natural plant compound, which has sorption properties. After entering the gastrointestinal tract, it forms a gel mass, which, during its movement through the intestine, absorbs toxic compounds and at the same time protects the mucosa from damage by dangerous substances.

In addition, pectin helps to destroy pathogens that have entered the digestive tract and caused an infectious disease.

The beneficial microbes that live in the intestines are normal, "Pepidol" is not affected. On the contrary, it contributes to their more active reproduction and can be used instead of probiotics.

Another useful feature of pectin is the normalization of bowel function.

If the children's "Pepidol" is used with constipation then thanks his ability to restore peristalsis fecal masses along with toxins leave the digestive tract more quickly. If the child has a tendency to diarrhea, the remedy, on the contrary, will decrease the intestinal motor activity and allow nutrients to be better absorbed from food.
