Starting from six months, when it is recommended to inject complementary foods, the baby still cannot feed on its own, but already confidently jerks its legs and arms and demonstrates with all its might that it is too boring for him to sit in one place.

As it often happens in our realities, leading foreign manufacturers enter our market only after they become universally recognized in the world. It’s impossible to say that the brand Graco is at the hearing of absolutely everybody, but in the section of children's goods this name has a rather significant weight.

Although the topic of this article is a baby chair for feeding, originally this product was not at all part of the company's range. The company was founded in the distant 1942 in the city of Philadelphia, where two young people decided to start producing metal parts for various equipment of other enterprises.

By popular tradition the name was given in honor of the founding fathers - Russell Gray (Gray) and Robert Cohn (Cone).

So the company would have developed this way, if one of the engineers Graco, watching his wife at home, did not catch fire with the idea of ​​producing metal swing. Since the production process would not have to be completely reorganized, the management of the company agreed, without even suspecting that the parts for the equipment would soon be completely gone.

The first batch of Grako's seesaw appeared on the US market in 1955 and quickly gained remarkable popularity. For three decades, the company, starting with not the most popular product, managed to sell more than a million seesaws, after which the management decided to completely trust the children's segment, expanding the range at the expense of cot beds, and then strollers with car seats.

It is the strollers and car seats that are today Graco's most famous products, and the company is among the world leaders in their production. However, the assortment of such a large company, of course, is much wider, and children's highchairs are not the last of all thanks to which the brand has become recognizable.

In different years of its existence, the company was noted by different series of high chairs for feeding, but in our country as of the beginning of 2018, only the Tea time series is available from the new product, the differences between the individual models of which are only in the variety of colors and patterns.

This series is considered one of the most famous and widespread in the world - if only because has a strong metal body with legs wide apartThat guarantees the highest degree of reliability and stability.

Five-point belts complement the security system, ensuring that the child does not fall out for sure. Although the tabletop is made of plastic, the manufacturer guarantees: material - durable, and most importantly - non-toxic.

One of the advantages of Graco's products is compactness, because the chair folds up in a matter of seconds, significantly decreasing in size. It is optimally suitable for transportation in a car, and it can be moved quite easily even within the house, since the total weight of the structure does not exceed six kilograms.

The developers paid a lot of attention to issues of convenient placement of the baby. The backrest is ergonomic, and the footrest and tabletop are adjustable with several pre-set, fixed positions. This allows you to achieve a position that suits the child and at the same time is approved by pediatricians as safe for the correct formation of posture.

Graco brand stools are also notable for their great serviceability. A bright and beautiful cover can be removed at any time to wash, however, being made of cloth based on oilcloth, it allows regular minimal cleaning even without a special wash, using an ordinary wet sponge. Such simplicity of the cover does not harm the comfort of the baby at all - although this fabric is not thick, it still considerably softens the seat.

As it should be, a plastic tray can be removed. Unlike many other models, Graco has such an opportunity not only in the case when the baby grows up and can eat at the common table, but also for everyday cleaning of the tray - it is easy to remove it.

At the same time, the engineers made the tabletop large enough, with a margin - this is necessary so that parents can distract the kid from pranks during meals by placing not only food, but also favorite toys on the tabletop.

The advantages of such chairs can be attributed, and their cost. If we compare them with the products of domestic brands, then they, of course, are a little expensive (within 4-5 thousand rubles), but compared to similar models of foreign brands, they can be safely called budget ones.

Each person can have their own requirements for a particular product, and with Graco's feeding chairs - they are completely satisfied with someone, but one cannot but mention the arguments of those people who considered it necessary to criticize the products of the American company.

There were as many as four points that quite a few consumers of this model did not like:

• The inability to adjust the backrest. These are the first consequences of the budget approach - the back of the chair is not regulated at all, it occupies the standard position. This imposes certain restrictions when choosing a product, because one child will be comfortable with this position, and the other will experience discomfort.
• Lack of wheels. A weight of up to six kilograms is usually convenient for moving a high chair within an apartment, but caring manufacturers usually still equip such furniture with wheels. Women, in principle, should not lift heavy objects, especially those so bulky, so that the excessive adherence of engineers to the stationary position of the chair causes an ambiguous reaction.

• No soft headrest. It is pleasant even for an adult to relax completely while on vacation, and a small child all the more requires the maximum number of reference points - after all, he may have learned to keep his head not so long ago. However, Graco’s engineers did not consider it necessary to make the headrest soft, which is why the baby is unlikely to sit on such a high chair for a long time.
• No height adjustment. Very well, if the growth of the mother is optimally convenient to feed the child, located exactly at this height - but what if not? Dear chairs assume adjustment of height of sitting - it is convenient as it allows to level growth of the child and the different height of the stools used by mother. In Graco's budget furniture there is no such possibility, so that the owners will have to adapt to the purchase.

In fairness it should be noted that most parents do not share the critical opinion cited above, otherwise such a product simply could not become one of the leaders in the world of highchairs for feeding.

If you do not take into account the thoughts of some inconvenience (which many may not be felt at all), it turns out that this solution is optimal for families who do not have large financial resources.

Consumers also constantly note the simplicity of cleaning the cover, which is very important for the baby, for whom cleanliness is not typical.

However, the product is often criticized also for the cover - oilcloth fabric allegedly contributes to the appearance of diaper rash in babies. Perhaps this phenomenon is not excluded, but it largely depends on the individual characteristics of the child.

Also, in some reviews, parents indicate that unregulated sitting is uncomfortable for their children.
