TO the ceiling children's room always put forward at least two requirements, namely: complete safety for the child and aesthetics. If the first component is important in any case, then the second is even more relevant if a girl lives in the nursery. Stretch ceiling - this is one of the best modern ways to achieve two goals at once.

Some specific features of the stretch ceiling are rather difficult to isolate, since in fact this is not about a single product or material, but about a whole series of developments, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages.

However, the convenience of such a solution also lies in the ability to hide from view various communications, whether electrical wiring or fire alarms. It is possible to integrate lamps into the suspended ceiling. Due to the huge variety of materials used, completely different characteristics can be achieved.

The most common materials for making stretch ceilings called drywall and fabric. Each of these materials has its own advantages and disadvantages.

• Drywall it is good that it does not burn at all, and it has a certain resistance to moisture. It is often chosen for the fact that such a ceiling is mounted in pieces, so that if one fragment is damaged, the apartment owners will not have to change the entire ceiling - it will be enough to replace one piece. Among other things, drywall still does not collect dust, which is very useful, since the latter is almost the main cause of allergies in children.
• As for the fabricthen its advantages lie completely in other planes. Without exception, all consumers point out that the fabric ceiling always has a more comfortable, “homely” look, and also provides better insulation of the room, both sound and heat. Some versions of the design even allow you to remove the linen for washing, although, of course, too often you should not do this.
• Less often stretch ceilings made of synthetic film. This material is relatively inexpensive, in addition, it does not let water in small quantities, but it does not “breathe”, which contributes to the occurrence of mold, ignites very quickly when ignited, and most importantly - the material is considered quite toxic, therefore it is inappropriate in children’s conditions.

Stretch ceilings can be classified according to a variety of different criteria, and we begin with the ability to reflect light. The matte surface is close to the classic finish in terms of visual effect, it can be of any color, and in itself is not an accent.

The top of this illusion is mirrored ceilings, the reflection of which looks quite realistic; they are usually white (for a noticeable increase in the room) and black (for a curious contrast) colors, but other shades are possible.

According to the visual design, the ceiling can be monotonous, which will fit into any interior and any situation, decorated with a pattern or even a full-fledged photo printing.As for the type of construction, it can be either classical single-level or more complex - with two or more levels. The two-tier design is usually used either to clearly divide the room into functional areas, or in a situation where the internal placement of the lamps makes the ceiling too low. In the second situation, the built-in lamps are simply placed along the walls, and there the ceiling is lower than in the room as a whole, but the center is higher and more spacious.

If matt drywall is chosen, the surface will largely resemble plaster - it may not even be perfectly smooth, a slight, pleasantly rough surface is possible. It looks especially beautiful when painted in certain colors, creating a special feeling of comfort.

If the ceiling is made of cloth, then usually, with a strong tension, it seems perfectly smooth and smooth, however, light hairiness is possible - it all depends on what kind of fabric the customers have chosen. The disadvantage of this solution is that the fabric will let the water pass from above In this situation, its sagging and deformation is possible, which over time will stretch the material and form folds, which can only be removed by re-stretching.

If, for some reason, preference was still given to a synthetic film, then its texture is a perfectly flat surface, because of the sight of which an unknowing person never guesses that there is actually a membrane in front of him.

Again, when flooded, the texture may be broken, but since the product does not let moisture through, it will be expressed in the ceiling sagging.

Do not think that the standard colors for girls - only pink or lilac. Even if you prefer the ceiling of a single color, pay attention to the pastel colors, not only of these colors, but also more “unexpected”, like blue, emerald or even brown.

If the preference in the design is given to a picture or photo printing, when choosing an image, repel, first of all, from the age of your daughter. The baby, of course, will love the fabulous motifs - you can put the characters of your favorite cartoons, princesses, fairies and much more. Dreamy and romantic nature will appreciate the ceiling, which by its design resembles a garden.

An interesting solution would also be the combination of a monochromatic and image-decorated surface. Usually this design is designed for two-level ceilingwhen the lower part located at the edges of the room is monotonous and hides the lamps inside, and the higher central part is decorated with a print. At the same time, there are no specific recommendations regarding the size of the picture - it can occupy most of the room, except for its very edges, and be a relatively small accent. When choosing a concrete stretch ceiling, pay attention not only to the performance of the material, but also to the aesthetic effect of the repair. To do this, do not forget about a few things:

• Girls preferences vary with age. If you want an “eternal” ceiling, it is better to choose a neutral design, and if you are ready to change it in a few years, be more careful about the choice. It is useful for the baby not to overload the top of the room with an excessive abundance of visual details. At preschool age, on the contrary, the colors and elements are very important, for teens it will again be necessary to reduce the diversity.
• A curtsy to the daughter’s hobbies will be very appropriate.. If a girl, for example, has idols among musicians, then a monophonic or floral-gardening solution may be like, but only thematic design dedicated to the favorite group will cause real delight.
• In pursuit of an interesting image and full compliance with the hobbies of the child, do not forget that nursery design should look holistic and harmonious. Even a very practical combination of price and quality will have to be dropped from the ceiling if it does not fit into the room being repaired at all - unless it turns out that it would be much easier to change everything that prevents it from becoming an integral part of the interior.

Deciding on any complex experiments with the ceiling can be difficult if you have never seen such a thing before and do not have much idea what you might end up with. Especially for this, we have collected several illustrative examples of how the final result may look.

Many, by the way, are doubtful about the idea to give preference to mirror ceilings - this is too unusual for the classic supporters. On the first photo you could see a glossy pattern, but on the third one you can clearly see the likelihood of mirror reflection and its effect of increasing the room.
