"Engystol" for children: instructions for use

Every year in the spring, parents have questions about the prevention of colds and acute respiratory infections, as well as the most safe means, if the child could not avoid the disease. Many mothers choose homeopathy, in particular, the drug "Engystol." He gets a lot of positive feedback and can be used in children, but before the start of the application is to learn more about the features of this drug.

Engystol is a product of the well-known German company Heel and is available in only one form. These are tablets that must be kept under the tongue until completely dissolved, therefore they are called sublingual. They have a flat round shape, sweetish taste and no smell. The color of such tablets is usually white or with a slight yellowness, but the presence of grayish or yellowish patches is permissible. The medicine is sold in a plastic box containing 50 tablets.

The action of "Enhistole" provide two active ingredients, but they are presented in several dilutions. One of them is Vincetoxicum hirundinaria - a substance from a plant that is called a robed medicinal or sweater. Such substances are added to the tablets at once in three different dilutions - D6, D10 and D30 - each at 75 mg.

The second active ingredient of Engystol is sulfur (Sulfur). This element is presented in two dilutions - D4 and D10, and the amount of sulfur in each of them is 37.5 mg. Auxiliary compounds in tablets are lactose and magnesium stearate. It is these substances that make the drug dense and give it a sweet taste.

Engystol includes a combination of plant and mineral components that can alleviate the symptoms of viral respiratory infections, reduce the duration of the disease and reduce the risk of complications. Tablets do not have a direct effect on viruses, but they help to activate protective mechanisms in the human body (non-specific immunity).

The leaves of the swag (Vincetoxicum hirundinaria) contain substances called Asklepic Acid and Vincetoxin. This plant is often used in acute inflammatory processes in the respiratory tract, caused by viruses. The active compounds obtained from the radion suppress inflammation and adjust immunity, accelerate the movement of lymph.

Sulfur present in the tablets also helps to get rid of colds and viral infections of the respiratory tract, since potentiated sulfur has a tropism for the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. Thanks to the action of sulfur, the processes of detoxification and the production of enzymes are activated, due to which toxic compounds are neutralized and excreted. In addition, this component helps to get rid of chronic rhinitis, skin rashes, joint pain or conjunctivitis.

"Engystol" is prescribed for a cold or flu-like condition, if the patient's body temperature rises, there is a strong weakness, a headache, and nasal discharge began. The remedy is also used for other viral and non-infectious diseases, for example, during infection with herpes, cytomegalovirus infection, neuralgia, skin diseases, aphthous stomatitis, hepatitis or allergies.

Since the drug is presented with pills, it is recommended to give it to children over 3 years old, who will be able to dissolve Engystol in the mouth, rather than swallowing it or not biting it. If you need treatment for children of the first years of life, it is better to prefer means approved for their age.

In addition to age restrictions, Engystol should not be given to patients with hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. Since the tablets have milk sugar, they are not used in the treatment of children who have lactose deficiency, congenital galactosemia or malabsorption syndrome of galactose or glucose.

Some children may have a worsening condition at the beginning of their use. Although it is usually temporary and often does not require cancellation, it is worth showing the child to the doctor if the symptoms intensify.

The remedy is given to a child older than three years three times a day. The dosage of Engystol recommended in children at one time is one tablet. It is best to offer the little patient to dissolve the medication 30 minutes before meals, and if he has already eaten, Engystol is recommended to be given after 1 hour. If symptoms worsen, tablets are taken at intervals of 15 minutes for two hours.

The duration of the pill is determined by the symptoms and the reason for using Enhistool, but most often it is prescribed in a course of 14-21 days. If required, the reception can be repeated after some time, but be sure to discuss it with your doctor.

"Engystol" can be combined with other drugs that are used for flu, colds or ARVI, for example, with antipyretic or antiviral drugs. There is no information about cases of exceeding the dose of "Enhistole".

"Engystol" refers to non-prescription drugs, therefore, freely sold in most pharmacies. The price of one pack of tablets is in the range of 400-440 rubles.

The lifetime of Engystol is 5 years from the date of manufacture and is marked both on the cardboard box and on the plastic packaging. Before it expires, tablets should be stored in a tightly closed canister at a temperature of +15 to + 25 degrees. They should be placed in a place where the medicine will not get a small child.

Proponents of homeopathy speak positively about the use of Engystol. According to them, such a tool effectively copes with the symptoms of acute respiratory infections, is easily tolerated by most children, has practically no contraindications or side effects. Such tablets are called safe and effective, but there are also reviews in which the remedy is considered ineffective, since it did not have the expected positive effect on the sick child. By cons "Engystola" often attribute its high cost.

• "Aflubin." Such drops contain plant substances from brionium, aconite and gentian, supplemented with lactic acid and iron phosphate. The drug improves local immunity, helps eliminate nasal congestion, remove toxins and alleviate the symptoms of viral infection. In the treatment of children, drops can be used from birth. • "Agri children". These tablets, which include ferrum phosphoricum, belladonna, hepar sulfuris, pulsatilla and other substances, are prescribed by homeopaths to children over a year old. There are also granules with the same composition, but they are applied from 3 years. The drug is given at the first cold symptoms, and also used for prevention.
• «Corisalia». The action of these pills on the basis of onions, potassium bichromicum, sabadilla, gelzemium and other substances is directed to the nasal mucosa, therefore, such a homeopathic remedy is in demand for acute respiratory infections, a symptom of which is runny nose. It can be used from birth.
• "Viburkol". The composition of such rectal suppositories contains belladonna, pulsatilla, plantain, nightshade and other homeopathic ingredients. They are prescribed for various inflammatory diseases, including acute respiratory infections and influenza.

In addition to homeopathy, “Engystol” can be replaced by immunostimulating drugs (“Viferon”, “Tsitovir-3"," Grippferon ","Lycopid"," Tsikloferon "and others) or antiviral drugs ("Orvirem», «Kagocel"," Amiksin "and others), however, it is not recommended to give any of these medicines without a doctor's prescription.
