The teacher can also offer students sheets with tasks already written on them. In this case, the second grader must cope with it on his own.
At the same time, it is necessary to conduct preliminary work with students, reminding them how to read the basic symbols: the number indicates how many cells we move, and the arrow indicates the direction of movement.
For example, the designation 5 ← says that it is necessary to draw a line 5 spaces to the left, 7 move forward 7 cells per corner right up, 3 ↓ indicates a movement down 3 cells, 8 ↙ draw a line 8 cells per corner left down .
