Today's manufacturers began to produce it in a wider range, and now it looks a much more competitive product than before.

The popularity of the plastic constructor seems obvious: such material is brighter, more convenient, and easier, and non-toxic, and it is much more difficult to apply an injury with it than with a metal part. However, it is a set of metal that develops a child much better, and moreover it is diversified.

• Gifts of this kind are suitable only for older preschoolers, because for children under 6 years of age the purchase of this toy is actually contraindicated. • The iron constructor allows you to independently make the most unexpected crafts, but this statement is more true for adults, whereas for kids the task can be quite boring. To understand the complex instructions will be a child of 10 years and older, and even then - only if there is a self-generated interest, and about self-designing a new toy at an early age there can be no talk. Therefore, children perceive work with such a designer in the school walls, rather as a duty than as an interesting and exciting game, due to which the basic value of the set is lost.

• The insane popularity of plastic constructors for children is largely due to their brightness, by this indicator they are significantly ahead of any competitors. Today, manufacturers are trying to paint even metal kits, however to compete with the brightness of plastic competitors it is unrealistic. • Children are also very interested in the topic of flying, and although the times of the rampant popularity of Gagarin are long gone, a plane or helicopter of its own design will still be considered a very sensible toy. Many boys dream to take to the air, and have the right to say that you independently assembled an aircraft, albeit a toy one - this is a very weighty argument for respect among friends.

• Typical male interests are manifested in boys as early as childhood, therefore the young mechanic will surely be glad of the opportunity to assemble various wheeled vehicles. A good universal set provides excellent opportunities for this: you can assemble a tractor or a tank, a truck or even a simple motorcycle.

Do not ignore the fact that now manufacturers have moved away from the canon, according to which the metal constructor should be a banal set of nuts and washers. Now, even in a metal set often includes parts from other materials, most often implied, of course, plastic, able to imitate the tires of vehicles, transparent glass, and much more.

Another popular material for the manufacture of individual parts is rubber, which also allows us to achieve greater likelihood of the assembled models than the classic iron versions of the designer do not usually sin. A large variety of models on the market can confuse an inexperienced buyer because It is worth paying attention to the important details that contribute to the correctness of the choice:

• quality certification is the first sign that the product is worthy of purchase, especially since you can see it without even unpacking the product;
• the age limit on the packaging is not just this: you should not buy a 4-year-old designer, designed for 9-year-olds, and vice versa;
• Poorly processed metal parts can be the cause of injury, so they should be inspected for the absence of sharp edges or notches;
• great attention should be paid to the quality of fasteners, which should not have problems with cuts and threads, otherwise the whole set will be useless;

• when buying a designer for children under 5 years of age, the problem of swallowing small parts is still relevant, therefore there should not be fragments smaller than 50 mm in the kit;
• although in general the metal is much safer than the same plastic in terms of environmental friendliness, the risk may be rust or used poor quality dye, therefore, if there is a strange smell, it is better not to take the goods;

In certain situations, you should simply trust the manufacturer, which has proven itself thanks to quality products. The majority of consumers choose one brand or another for a reason: in the age of information technology, any serious shortcoming would quickly become public, so well-known manufacturers simply do not allow themselves to do their job badly.

Among the Russian trademarks, the Tenth Kingdom, which focuses mainly on products designed for school lessons in labor, is worth highlighting. It is impossible not to draw attention to the products of the brand "Samodelkin", who took the name in honor of the Soviet cartoon character, assembled from parts of a similar designer. Russian designers have a good quality and quite affordable price.

Import kits also deserve respect.Although Western toys are traditionally perceived as something bright and beautiful, and, to be honest, superior to domestic analogues, even Americans have variations on the theme of our iron constructor. Another thing is that similar products look much more beautiful, for example, the perforation done to tighten the bolts may not be visible from the outside.

On the other hand, such a designer is usually less versatile, since it is a kind of Lego, only made from metal. A good example of such a product can be called kits produced by the American company Meccano. Such a toy would take a worthy place in the nursery. However, it will be fair to assume that imported products will cost parents much more than Russian ones.

But in Chinese products, the quality is often as low as the price. It is not necessary to assert that absolutely all Chinese designers from metal are harmful, fragile or poorly processed, but such complaints are not such a rare occurrence. Decent samples come across, but the big problem is that the average Russian consumer does not remember the Chinese brand names, which is why the goods from China are always an abstraction for him.
