Inhalation with lasolvan for children
Inhalations through a nebulizer effectively deliver drugs to the respiratory tract of a child, therefore they are often prescribed for serious diseases of the respiratory system. One of the groups of drugs injected into the child’s body through inhalation are mucolytics. The most common representative of this group is lasolvan (its active ingredient is Ambroxol).
Indications
Inhalations with such a mucolytic drug like lasolvan are prescribed for:
- Acute or chronic bronchitis.
- Pneumonia.
- Obstructive diseases of the respiratory system.
- Bronchial asthma.
- Bronchiectasis.
- ARVI with a strong dry cough.
The basis of the action of this drug is the increased secretion of mucus in the respiratory tract. This effect causes the use of lazolvan with dry cough. After inhalation with this drug, the sputum becomes less viscous and easy. expectorated. The effect occurs approximately 30 minutes after the procedure.
Contraindications
Inhalation lazolvan is not prescribed for:
- Respiratory and heart failure.
- Drug intolerance.
- Frequent nosebleeds.
You should also be aware that inhalations with Lasolvan are not carried out at body temperatures above + 37 ° C. In addition, such procedures can not be combined with the intake of antitussive drugs.
Dosage and proportions
For nebulizing inhalations, lasolvan is used in liquid form. He is bred with saline, so that the child receives not only medicine, but also humidified air. Dilution with plain or distilled water is not recommended. The diluted solution must be used immediately (the remaining solution is not stored).
The dosage of the drug is selected based on age, because for a child of 6 months and for children 2 or 3 years old and older, the dose of lasolvana will be different.

If an inhalation in a nebulizer with Lasolvan is assigned to a child with asthma, bronchodilators should be taken before the procedure. This will minimize the risk of bronchospasm during lazolvan administration. The use of inhalation with this drug in conjunction with the treatment of antibiotics increases the concentration of antimicrobial drugs in the tissues of the lungs, which is often used in the treatment of bacterial diseases of the respiratory system.

Reviews
Parents respond to procedures with lascolvan differently, but all note that the drug copes well with dry cough. However, some babies do not take this drug very well (there may be side effects such as nausea, allergic rash, abdominal pain, and others).
