Aqualore Baby for newborns and infants: instructions for use

The line of means in the nose called "Aqualore"Represented by drops and sprays that help clear the mucous membrane of the nose, eliminate congestion, contribute to the rapid relief from a cold, cold or sore throat. There are two dosage forms of Aqualore Baby:

• Drops. This version of the drug is sold in bottles, droppers of plastic, which are tightly screwed lid. In one vial is 15 ml of liquid. It has a slightly salty taste, no smell, color and any inclusions (the solution is completely clear).

• Spray. This form of the drug is available in metal cans of 125 or 150 ml, inside of which there is the same liquid as in the drops. An important feature of this “Aqualore” is the anatomical nozzle, which allows you to direct the jet directly into the nasal passage. Especially for use in newborns and infants, it has a restrictive ring, due to which the nozzle is unable to penetrate too deep into the nose and injure the mucous membrane. Irrigation also occurs carefully, the manufacturer calls it a "soft shower". In addition, the use of funds is possible both in the sitting and lying position of the child.

The main and only ingredient of both forms of the drug is sea water. It has a natural origin (it is obtained in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of France), therefore it is a source of valuable active substances and trace elements. Among them are potassium, magnesium, chlorine, selenium, zinc, iodine, sodium, copper, iron and other substances. Since this water contains from 8 to 11 g / l of sodium chloride (on average 9 g / l), it is called isotonic. There are no preservatives in the composition of "Aqualore Baby".

Treatment of the nasal cavity "Aqualore Baby":

• the drug can be used for adenoiditis or sinusitis;
• the agent is indicated for excessive dryness in the nose (with subatrophic rhinitis).

Both drops and spray “Aqualore Baby” are allowed to apply even in the smallest patients. Such funds are called safe and used from the first days of life.

The use of “Aqualore Baby” is prohibited only in case of intolerance to sea water, because it is the only component of droplets and spray. Such an individual reaction is extremely rare, but possible, therefore, after the first use of the drug, the child’s condition should be monitored. During the application of "Aqualore Baby" no negative reactions usually occur. Adverse symptoms are possible only in the case of individual intolerance.

You can use Aqualore Baby as often and as long as necessary. If this tool is in drops, then usually the drug is applied 2-4 times a day. It is introduced into each nostril of the baby by 1 or 2 droplets.

If a spray is prescribed to the child, then such “Aqualore” is performed by washing the nasal cavity. For everyday hygiene product is used in the morning and sometimes in the evening. If the baby has a runny nose, it can be washed 2–4 times a day (sometimes more often), and to prevent rhinitis during the epidemic period, the procedure is recommended to be performed 3 times a day.

Further, the procedure is repeated for the second nasal passage, and if required, is carried out again. If a child is older than two years old, he may stand or sit while he is washing. For the procedure, his head is tilted to the side. Then all the actions are the same as for young patients up to 2 years.

There are no negative effects from excessively frequent use of "Aqualore Baby" or the use of the drug in high dosage. Bury the agent in the child’s nose, irrigate the nasal cavity from the spray, or perform washing as often as is necessary to improve the condition of the small patient. Accidentally swallowing the contents of the dropper bottle is also not harmful to health.

Treatment of the nasal cavity "Aqualore Baby" is compatible with the use of any other medicines. As noted above, such a remedy is often used before a vasoconstrictive, antiviral, or other drug is put into the nose of a baby.

You do not need to get a prescription from a doctor to buy Aqualore Baby. Both forms of this drug do not belong to drugs and are freely sold in pharmacies. The average price of one bottle of drops is 130-150 rubles. A spray bottle containing 150 ml of liquid costs about 400 rubles.

Although there are no preservatives in the composition, Aqualore Baby spray does not deteriorate during the entire period of use, which is 3 years from the date of manufacture.This is ensured by the use of the latest technologies in the production of the balloon, allowing the preparation to remain sterile. The shelf life of sealed Aqualor in drops is also 3 years. However, after opening the bottle, it can be applied for no longer than 45 days.

The device works due to the strength of the air flow generated by the mouth of an adult, which is considered safer and more effective than the use of a rubber bulb or electric aspirator. After washing the baby's nasal cavity with spray “Aqualore Baby” or dripping the product from the dropper bottle, you need to insert the mouthpiece into the mouth of your mother or other adult, and the nasal mouth into one of the baby’s nostrils.

Next, the adult must inhale with his mouth, as a result of which the mucus from the nose of the toddler will move to the aspirator tank. After this, the manipulation is repeated for the second nasal passage. When you finish cleaning the nozzle, the aspirator is disassembled, washed in warm water, and the filter is changed.

• German spray powder spray Fluimarin, which is allowed to splash into the nose of children over 2 years old;
• Humer 150 spray from France, recommended for babies from 1 month.

All these drugs are in demand both for the prophylactic treatment of the nasopharynx and for the treatment of rhinitis of different nature. But although they are considered harmless to children, it is better to choose a suitable analogue together with a doctor who oversees the crumb and will take into account all contraindications.
