"Vitaon" for children: instructions for use

Prickly heat, diaper rash and other skin problems often occur even in very young children. For the treatment of inflamed skin and irritation sites, various local remedies are used. One of them is “Vitaon”, which is one of Karavaeva’s Balsams.

Such a drug is in demand in dentistry, surgery, the practice of ENT doctors, dermatology and, of course, in pediatrics. In childhood, it is allowed to use it from birth.

Under the name "Vitaon" you can find several products that have their own characteristics of use.

• "Vitaon". This balm with a blue label is sold in bottles of 15, 25, 30 or 50 ml. Inside the bottle is an oily, transparent substance, with a characteristic odor and a yellowish or greenish tint. This tool can lubricate the skin or mucous membranes. In addition, it is allowed to drip into the ears and nose.
• "Vitaon Baby". This version of the balm is intended for skin care in newborn babies, infants and older children, as well as in nursing mothers. It is also oily, yellowish, smells good and packaged in glass bottles of 30 ml.

• "Vitaon Suite". The difference of this version of the balm from the usual "Vitaon" is a high concentration of plant extracts and other oil base. The label of this drug is red, and the volume of oily liquid inside the glass bottle is from 15 to 50 ml.
• "Vitaon oral". This type of balm is acquired to eliminate itching or pain in the gums, bleeding, redness and swelling of the gums, as well as to treat various types of stomatitis. It is represented by a bottle containing 30 ml of a yellowish oily solution with a pleasant aroma.
• "Vitaon Face Cream". It is more often bought by adults for the care of combination or normal skin. The components of this cream accelerate the healing of minor injuries, moisturize well and prevent skin aging.

All types of Vitaon contain three essential oils derived from fennel, orange and mint, but jasmine is also present in the cream. The basis of all balms is vegetable oil, but in the composition of the “Baby” and “Lux” products it is noted that this is Extra virgin olive oil. Among the inactive components of any balm there are also perfume and camphor.

The main active ingredients of "Vitaon" are oil plant extracts. All balms and cream have extracts from yarrow, St. John's wort and mint, as well as calendula, celandine and fennel. Even for the manufacture of drugs using wild rose, pine buds, thyme, cumin, tarragon and pharmacy chamomile.

The healing herbs and essential oils present in the Vitaon composition have healing, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties:

• thanks to the extract from calendula, pine buds, wild rose, chamomile and other medicinal herbs, "Vitaon" reduces the severity of the inflammatory response;
• the presence of vegetable oil in the balm, supplemented with extracts of wormwood, calendula, thyme, celandine and other plants helps to heal cracks, wounds, ulcers and burns faster;
• essential oils, substances from cumin, marigold, fennel and dog rose affect harmful bacteria and enhance immune activity;
• Hypericum and mint, as well as chamomile and yarrow extracts have a soothing effect on the skin, they soften and eliminate the itch;
• due to the influence of extracts of mint, fennel and essential oils in the cells of the epidermis, water and fat metabolism is restored.

"Vitaon" is in demand in the treatment of various diseases of ENT organs. Such a balm is included in the complex therapy of rhinitis, sinusitis, adenoids, pharyngitis, otitis, tonsillitis or laryngitis. Dentists prescribe this drug for gingivitis, stomatitis, or periodontitis. Surgeons prescribe it for wounds on the skin, small cracks, superficial burns or ulcerative lesions, and dermatologists recommend treating areas of the skin with signs of eczema or dermatitis.

Lactating mothers are advised to smear the nipples with cracks in such a way and to treat the breast when milk stagnates. Proctologists prescribe "Vitaon" for the healing or prevention of anal fissures, as well as proctitis or hemorrhoids.

The tool with the mark "Lux" is also used for all indications noted above, and the balm, on the packaging of which is marked "for the oral cavity", is in demand mainly for dental diseases and sore throat. Cream treat the skin with microcracks, redness and swelling.

The manufacturer does not notice any restrictions on the use of Vitaon, however, the child may have hypersensitivity to any of the components, due to which a negative reaction may develop on the balm. In this case, the use of any of the tools must be abandoned. In addition, essential oils when used in the nose can provoke swelling, irritation and breathing problems.

For such a test, a small amount of oil is applied to the skin of the baby, and after a while its condition is evaluated. If there is no rash, redness, swelling or peeling, then the drug can be used safely.

If a child has a runny nose, Vitaon and Lux ​​means drop one drop three times - four times a day, and during the treatment of sinusitis or other sinusitis, the medicine is injected into each nostril 2-3 drops twice or three times a day. With the preventive purpose during the epidemic of ARVI, the balm is recommended to drip daily once. The drug can also be lubricated nasal passages before going out or immediately after contact with a patient with acute respiratory infections.

For skin lesions, the balm is applied to the inflamed or damaged area several times a day. In addition, you can soak tampons with the “Vitaon” and attach them to the desired area to speed healing. Means "Baby" is applied with a thin layer on the folds, face and other parts of the body of babies to prevent diaper rash, prickly heat and other skin problems.

When coughing, caused by laryngitis, inflammation of the tonsils or pharyngitis, half a teaspoon of balm is applied to the baby 2-3 times a day. With a tendency to sore throats, prophylactic rinses are recommended. For them, take a third cup of warm water and add 10-15 drops of balm, performing this procedure 1-2 times a day. If the baby started having otitis, “Vitaon” is dropped into the diseased ear twice or three times a day. Each time 2-3 drops of balsam are introduced into the ear canal.

In case of dental diseases it is possible to apply cotton swabs moistened with any kind of “Vitaon” on the inflamed areas, and after 15-20 minutes to remove. Such manipulations three or four times a day help eliminate bleeding, soreness and redness. For preventive purposes, it is recommended to lubricate the gums with balsam several times a day, rubbing the preparation with your fingers.

All types of "Vitaon" refer to non-prescription drugs, and the price of the balm depends on its type and capacity of the bottle. For example, for 15 ml of Lux money you need to pay 130 rubles, and 30 ml of the Vitaon preparation costs 200-240 rubles.

On the application of "Vitaon" you can find a lot of good reviews, in which the balms are praised for the natural composition, a wide range of uses, pleasant taste and effective action.

The disadvantages of funds include uncomfortable packaging (do not attach a pipette to the bottle, there is no dispensing device). In addition, some children "Vitaon" provokes allergies, and the price of balms, many mothers called high.
