Let's go ride: a taxi driver in St. Petersburg mistakenly took away from the parents of a disabled child
In St. Petersburg, a taxi driver took a disabled girl, and mother left on the sidelines roads.
This was told in the office of the Children's Ombudsman for the Northern Capital.
Ombudsman Svetlana Agapitova, the mother of a disabled child, turned in complete despair.
She said that she called a taxi through the famous and very popular online service. A 10-year-old woman’s child does not walk on her own and cannot change from a wheelchair without the help of an adult.
Mother transplanted her daughter from the chair to the back seat of a taxi that arrived on call. After that, she closed the door and started to go around the car to sit next to the child on the other side.
But the mother did not have time to get into the salon, because the driver suddenly pulled away at breakneck speed and took the child alone.
The woman ran behind the car while she was strong, screamed, but the driver did not pay attention to her. She tried to call him and the dispatchers, but the driver did not take the call and did not manage to contact him at the dispatch service.
The disabled girl also tried to get the attention of the driver, said that mother forgot, but the taxi driver ignored the child.
Only after reaching the destination, “sharp as a bullet,” did the driver notice that there was no adult in the cabin and pay essentially no one.
Both mother and daughter were very nervous, and in order to at least somehow redeem themselves, the taxi driver did not charge them for the trip.
But the indignant mother was not satisfied with this and wrote complaints to the taxi service, the prosecutor's office and the children's rights ombudsman.
She urges to punish this driver and instruct other taxi drivers to passenger transportation rules.
In the company in which the strange driver works, explained that the man worked fourth day almost no restand therefore he was tired and could not adequately perceive reality.
The children's ombudsman of St. Petersburg, Svetlana Agapitova, promised to take all measures so that the taxi drivers of the northern capital were checked by the transport inspectorate and called for discipline.
