Choosing diapers Molfix

Many parents, seeing the cost of diapers and estimating how much it will cost the family budget, are ready to completely abandon such products in favor of classic cotton diapers. You can, of course, do this, but in the modern world it is simply inconvenient - a mother will not be able to leave her child at least for the first two years of his life, nor can she go anywhere with him. The solution to this problem can be a choice in favor of not the most popular brands. The relatively well-known, but still not very much advertised diaper manufacturers is Molfix.

The Molfix brand belongs to the huge Turkish corporation Hayat, which unites four dozen companies engaged in various spheres of production - from processing timber and servicing seaports to manufacturing hygienic products. Of course, we are most interested in the latter - the company calls itself the fifth largest diaper manufacturer in the world. Founded in 1937, the future transnational corporation today has reached an impressive scale. Its products are represented in 100 countries of the world, and the total number of employees reaches 17 thousand.

Representative offices of the company are open in several foreign countries, including Russia, and the Molfix website (but not Hayat as a whole) even has a Russian-language section. Products of the same corporation may also be known to Russian consumers thanks to Molped sanitary pads.

Contrary to the apparent scale of production, many consumers are indirectly related to the brand's products. Although the country producing diapers is Turkey, which is pretty good, because the company focuses primarily on the markets of developing countries. Enough to see where its offices are located - in addition to Russia, it is well represented in Bulgaria, Iran, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria and Pakistan.

In all these countries, the population does not belong to the well-to-do; therefore, the products, predictably, belong to the budget. This can be seen as a plus, but, obviously, the company has to find a compromise between low production costs and decent quality, and the latter does not always correspond.

Contrary to the general trend, the Turkish brand does not produce children's panties for potty training or any other product that could be called a kind of substitute for the actual diapers. Of the other products for children in the model range of the company, only wet wipes and disposable diapers are represented, so the choice among the actual diapers is practically reduced to the size determination. Manufacturers claim that diapers of different sizes are optimized for the appropriate age of the child, so it is worth considering more carefully what is written about them.

• Size 1 or Newborn it is intended for newborns, the weight category is described as 2–5 kg. Turkish developers noticed that the skin of a newborn is particularly vulnerable, and therefore requires only the most delicate touches - their masterpiece is made of fabric that meets this requirement. In addition, these diapers are designed with a special cut for the umbilical cord, which allows not to irritate the fresh wound and have constant access to it. The inner layer is impregnated with aloe vera and chamomile extracts, designed to heal the skin in case anything happens.

• Size 2, aka Mini, in terms of weight parameters it is practically the same (3-6 kg), therefore it is suitable for the same newborns, only slightly heavier. On the navel neckline, nothing has been said here, but the manufacturer claims that with all the subtlety and elasticity that does not interfere with the baby’s comfort, such a diaper perfectly absorbs moisture.

• Midi, also known as size 3, assumes the weight of the baby within 4-9 kg. Children attain such anthropometry at the very peak of using diapers, when the pot is still too far from the start, and the intensity of use is only increasing, and there is an additional difficulty in the form of growing activity of the baby. Given the need to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the child, the manufacturer offers packaging of the most different sizes - from 10 to 90 pieces per pack. Actually, on this, as well as on the difference in weight, all the differences from the previous category end.

• Size 4 or maxi in terms of quality characteristics, it is also not very different - the main difference lies in the potential weight of the baby, which can now be from 7 to 14 kg. For slender babies who are not gaining weight too quickly, such a product may be the last of its kind, so there is a wide choice of packages available, which have somewhat decreased in quantitative terms - there can be from 9 to 80 copies in a pack.

• Molfix even has a small branch in the size range as a size. 4+ or Maxi Plus. This product is completely identical to the previous one, but is designed for slightly larger children weighing from 9 to 16 kg.

• Junior or size 5 represents the last size of diapers for most children - after that, it is either time for them to switch to panties for potty training, or to be able to fully use the latter. The weight of the child for whom this size is suitable is in the range of 11-18 kg.

• Not all children get used to the pot as quickly as their parents would like, so there are even diapers in the model range of the brand. Extra Large or just 6 sizes. The weight of the child for such accessories starts from 15 kg, the manufacturer does not indicate the upper mass limit of the main consumer. Many competing manufacturers of products for the care of babies in such a weight category already have only panties for training for the pot, but Molfix has not yet mastered the production of such accessories.

On the Internet, you can often find complaints that a diaper, supposedly suitable for a child by weight, actually either doesn’t fit on it or slips, so parents often complain that it’s quite difficult to choose the products of the Turkish brand.

It is predicted that on the manufacturer’s website his own products are usually shown only from the best side, but the more truthful indicator is usually the comments of parents who have had experience using the relevant product. We were not too lazy to look at the sites dedicated to motherhood, and to find opinions there regarding the Molfix diapers. Let's say this, despite the fact that most authors still indicate certain advantages, most likely, a negative evaluation of products prevails.

And let's begin, perhaps, with the good. As an advantage, most authors point out a few points.

• Pricing. Diapers from Japan are considered to be the absolute leader in terms of quality, but they are also distinguished by the highest price.For comparison, Molfix cost about one and a half times cheaper, which for many parents is an important factor in order to at least try such a product.
• Reliability. Many parents, even openly criticizing the goods from the Turkish manufacturer, indicates that it still did not leak, that is, coped with its main function.
• Softness. Perhaps there are softer diapers, which no one particularly denies, but Molfix products in this regard did not disappoint. Some other diapers, even from the well-known and famous ones, are somewhat inferior to those considered in this context.
• Design. Most mothers positively responded to the drawings that decorated the baby care accessories of this brand. A plus is also the fact that a consumer can choose exactly how such pictures will look - there are several options to choose from, so that diapers like first of all to their little owner.

This, in fact, the positive moments usually end. As for the criticism of the manufacturer, it is much more extensive and diversified, with some comments hurt the fundamental principles of the diapers.

• Inability to absorb. What the Turks obviously saved on was an absorbent capable of turning a liquid into a gel. Many parents complain that the baby’s skin remains wet, and this is a direct path to hemorrhage, diaper rash and other problems. In some cases, such a diaper, not equipped with modern technology, can leak, which is not surprising, since it does not absorb.
• Strange cut. The probability of leakage increases even more for the reason that Molfix diapers do not sit perfectly on most children. Moms often complain that such an accessory sits on a child like a bag, sags either from the front or from the back, and it does not work out properly - pulling on one side, we get a slack on the other. With some babies, especially mobile ones, such diapers also slip, and this, together with weak absorbency, makes the likelihood of a leak just threatening.
• Crumple and rub. TAbout the fact that the considered diapers do not sit well, adversely affects not only the appearance, but also the practical application of the product. Being free as a whole, such diapers can perceptibly rub baby legs, and in fact urine can also get there, which will only aggravate the pain. Molfix often does not want to keep the shape, because of which the likelihood of a leak once again becomes more likely.
• Smell. Even unused diapers of this brand have a specific smell (paper, although it should not be), and the used ones do not hold it at all, therefore you will learn about using the accessory almost immediately.
• Lack of technology. In the Molfix diapers, the filling indicator and the additional protection of the child against rashes are not provided, but in the context of the relatively low cost and all the above disadvantages, this is not even surprising.
• Price. Although some consider the cost of brand products as a plus, experienced parents indicate that for about the same money, you can purchase better-quality counterparts from the famous Pampers or Huggies.
