Release form

The drug is produced in solid form, which is a coated, round white tablets convex on both sides. One pack may contain from 10 to 50 tablets. Other forms (capsules, suppositories, syrup, injections, etc.) do not have this medication.

Composition

Each tablet of Domperidone contains 10 mg of active substance with the same name. Additional ingredients in the medicine are microcrystalline cellulose, talc, macrogol, starch, titanium dioxide, magnesium stearate, polyvinyl alcohol and aerosil.

Operating principle

Domperidone has an anti-emetic effect provided by the ability of such a compound to influence dopamine receptors. Since the medicament hardly penetrates the brain tissue, it blocks such receptors mainly on the periphery, and on the central ones it acts to a lesser extent.

The active substance of the drug resists the inhibitory effect of dopamine on the motility of the digestive tract, which improves the motor and evacuation function of the stomach. At the same time, the drug does not affect the secretion of digestive juices. It is also known that domperidone can increase the level of prolactin in the blood.

Indications

Domperidone claimed:
