- For children of the first year of life, the medicine is administered in 1 drop (1000 IU) into each nostril 5 times a day, that is, the daily dosage is 5,000 IU.
- A child of 1-3 years old drops 2 drops of the drug in each nasal passage, and the frequency of the procedure - 3 or 4 times a day. At one time, the baby receives 2000 IU of interferon, and from 6000 to 8000 IU per day.
- A single dosage between the ages of 3 years and 14 years is also 2 drops, but the frequency of use increases up to 4-5 times, so from 8000 to 10,000 IU of interferon are released per day.
- Children over 14 years old inject 3 drops of Grippferon into each nostril, which corresponds to 3000 IU of the active substance.Manipulation is carried out 5 or 6 times a day, so the patient receives a total of 15,000 to 18,000 IU of the active ingredient per day.
After dropping the medicine into the child's nose, then you need to massage the wings of the nose, lightly pressing them with your fingers for a few minutes. This will help the drops to be evenly distributed over the mucous membrane.
Prevention
The drug can be used in the season of viral infections, instilled in the morning every day or every other day in a single dosage, which is recommended during treatment.
