We reveal the talents of the child
In two or three years, children begin to be creative and demonstrate creative abilities: they enthusiastically draw doodles with a felt-tip pen on paper, wallpaper or a snow-white sofa, “sing along” with their parents or dance ... At this stage, it is easy to understand what attracts the kid most. But how to form this interest in something more conscious and help the child to show his talents in the future?
The task of the parents is to provide the child with the opportunity to develop at his own pace, as well as show him other areas of creativity.
How to stimulate the disclosure of talent?
Give your kid a variety of tools. For drawing - pencils, felt-tip pens, paints; for modeling - plasticine, kinetic sand, dough; for music - xylophone, maracas, or even a simple jar of buckwheat ... Try also to combine different activities in one game: for example, build a house from the designer and "populate" it with plasticine people or ask your kid to draw a drum. This will support not only the diversified development, but also teach the crumbs to think more broadly, to fantasize and go beyond the usual framework. These qualities in the future will help him not to spill his interest in creativity and to succeed in it!
If the child is to music, it is also important to show him a variety. It is not necessary to focus on the works of Mozart alone and, in principle, classical music. Choosing the composition, it is best to dwell on those who perform one or three instruments - but this is not an unconditional rule. Follow the taste of the crumbs, and he will choose for himself the suitable music. Sing along and dance with your baby, show that you have fun and that you like the arias and na that he performs.
In any art, the main thing is to find and find new ways, think differently and show something new. Therefore, to develop the imagination is as important as the skills of drawing and modeling or ear for music. And here it is important for fathers and mothers themselves to show imagination: to invent games, during which the kid will be able to compose something and learn, to really create.
Creativity should be part of both ordinary role-playing games, and classes with a designer, or even simple walks. Talk with the child and ask him questions that he has no obvious answers for - let him think of them!
Sample game with a child
For example, during the assembly of the railroad from the LEGO® DUPLO® “Steam-powered train” kit (art. 10874), ask your child what this train is carrying. Let him write the story of the driver and his fellow travelers.
Ask auxiliary questions and do not stop the flow of fantasy with the words “it does not happen, compose something else” - even if the train suddenly flies, and its driver will be a squirrel.
Special functions of the set will make the game even more interesting and diverse: five different activation buttons are installed on the tracks, which will beep, turn the lights on and off, slow down the composition to replenish coal reserves, change the direction of its movement. And it is possible to start the locomotive either by hand or remotely - using the free application LEGO DUPLO Train.
Show your child that the world of imagination is a place where there are no boundaries. A designer's cubes, a pencil with paper or plasticine are the means by which you can embody all those incredible stories in the real world that he will invent.
How to act parents?
It is important that parents show interest in what the child is doing and praise him. Show him that you like what he built or painted. The main thing here is the enthusiasm that will be transmitted to the child, and the motivation to do more and more, to develop.
And if something does not work out for the crumbs and it upsets him, show that you can look at the unsightly creation from a different angle.
For example, if in his picture the house turned out to be round rather than rectangular, draw his eyes, mouth and nose. And let the triangular roof become a hat! Seeing that his unfortunate drawing has turned into something beautiful, the kid will inspire and not lose the craving for art.
Put the little creator's masterpieces in a prominent place, show them to the guests - these are simple methods of encouragement that inspire children to further achievements.
Every child is talented and everyone sooner or later shows interest in creativity. But if suddenly at some moment it will become boring for the kid to drive a pencil on paper - this is normal. The task of parents is simple: you need to give children the opportunity and space so that they can express themselves the way they want.
