A wooden designer, from which you can build a completely natural house - a toy quite famous, but still not as common as, for example, Lego. Nevertheless, many child development experts believe that such a toy deserves more attention from parents, and they are advised, at a minimum, to inquire about what it is.

Quite a lot has already been said about the benefits of the designer, and any parents should have at least a superficial idea of ​​it. In this case, you can build a doll house and not from natural logs - the same plastic parts could be an excellent imitation.

At the same time, sets of timber are still quite common, and the reason for such popularity lies in its numerous advantages.

• In recent years, the debate that at least children should be protected from everything artificial is becoming more and more intense, since synthetic materials are often toxic or just harmful. Logs, presented in a wooden constructor, are made of real wood - natural raw materials, which can hardly be toxic.
• Usually, collapsible house is quite easy to assemble and disassemble, even though many parts have special slots for attaching to each other.

• A variety of models is quite large. In particular, for the smallest, the simplest sets are provided in the form of simple cubes, which are not connected in any way. For preschoolers, the sets are simple - the parts are the same and easily attached to each other, allowing you to develop fine motor skills and fantasize. The fact is that the tree is not suitable for contact with water, because of this wood swells and rots. At the same time, the material is also easy to get dirty, but it is impossible to wash or scrub it all for the same reason.
• The wooden designer, as a rule, imitates the real wood, most often - elongated logs. Children at a young age do not yet understand the dangers of inaccurate playing with such things, they can easily poke such a log into an eye, mouth, or ear for themselves or for a friend. For this reason, an independent game under the age of 5 years is considered dangerous.

• Rustic house of "logs" looks much more natural than the same plastic, but young children are more attracted to the brightness and beauty than naturalness. In general, it is very similar to the previous one, with the difference that its details are very similar to reduced logs, and therefore are excellent for imitating traditional Russian architecture. Due to this, it is possible to create a magical entourage from an old fairy tale, settling the same Little Red Riding Hood in such a design.

For children of school age, for whom the designer is no longer a toy, but a hobby in the form of modeling, there are sets of the Gardarik series. Their details are a straw, that is, imitate ordinary matches. Understandably, there are no grooves here anymore, and the toy is assembled only once - the parts are held together with the help of glue.

A wooden constructor does not have to be an imitation of wooden constructions - there are also varieties that very much resemble the classic screw constructor made in the USSR. Well, for the smallest, they still have not thought up anything better than ordinary cubes. True, for ease of connection, they can be produced with built-in magnets, but this does not practically change the essence of the game.

The easiest way is to give the kid what he himself pointed to, but the child is attracted more by the bright wrapper than the really important advantages of the designer. Comparing similar models, pay attention to the following important characteristics.

• Natural material may be poor quality. It is not necessary to purchase kits, parts in which are chipped, cracked, have protruding splinters. Children's set should be free from sharp ends, and the presence of an unpleasant smell suggests that the manufacturer should use a different paint to create a designer.
• The child will not be interesting to the designer, which he is not able to assemble, so choose sets with the appropriate number of parts and a suitable level of complexity of the connection parts.

• It is necessary to choose the set, the craft from which is easy to assemble and just as easily disassembled. In this case, accidentally scattered crafts will be a real grief for the kid, so the assembled model must have a certain strength.
• Kids love bright colors, but for younger preschoolers, it is recommended to limit the color palette to three tones. For older preschoolers, the variety of colors should be expanded, but children of school age are given a natural wooden constructor - they themselves will paint the finished building as they see fit.
• All the constant with time bothers, so you need to choose the one from which you can build houses of different types.
