Evamenol for children: instructions for use

"Evamenol" is a Russian drug, which is produced only in one form - nasal ointment. According to the physical properties of such a drug is represented by a yellowish thick mass that smells like eucalyptus and menthol. This aroma of the ointment is due to its main components, which are levomenthol and eucalyptus oil.

Both active ingredients are contained in 100 grams of the drug by 1 gram. The only additional component of the drug is petrolatum. The medicine is sold in aluminum tubes placed in a carton box. One tube holds 15 grams of ointment.

The main action of the components of Evamenol is distracting, since they are able to stimulate sensitive receptors in the nasal mucosa. Due to such stimulation, after applying the ointment, the blood vessels in the nose narrow, and menthol also has a slight local anesthetic effect. In addition, eucalyptus oil has anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, some active ingredients ointment noted some antiseptic effect.

Given the mechanism of action and properties of Evamenol, this medication is used for rhinitis and nasopharyngitis. This symptomatic remedy is prescribed both to patients with an acute form of rhinitis, and for the treatment of chronic rhinitis or pharyngitis.

The drug is not used in children under two years. If the baby has not yet turned 2 years old, then his rhinitis is treated with other medicines that are safer for infants.

Ointment is not used in children with:
